From Code to Council.
A timeline of public service: building the BJP's presence in Malkajgiri, winning one of the closest GHMC contests, and turning technology into a civic accountability tool.
Joined BJP & Grassroots Work
Entered active politics through the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and began working at the ward level in Malkajgiri, engaging with residents on local civic issues.
GHMC Election Victory
Contested and won the GHMC Corporator seat for Malkajgiri Division (Ward No. 140) on a BJP ticket. Defeated the then TRS (now BRS) candidate by approximately 178 votes — one of the closest contests in the election.
Field-First Governance
Established a reputation for regular field inspections with GHMC engineers, focusing on road repairs, drainage, street lighting, parks, and crematorium modernization.
Property Tax Loophole Exposed
Demonstrated that the GHMC property tax self-assessment portal could be manipulated using fabricated information. GHMC acknowledged the loophole and blocked the entries after verification.
Lake & Monsoon Advocacy
Repeatedly demanded Safilguda Lake desilting, water hyacinth removal, and flood prevention. Led symbolic protests and pre-monsoon preparedness campaigns across Malkajgiri.
Trade Licence System Audit
Highlighted weaknesses in the GHMC online trade licence process by showing that licences could be issued using invalid documents before field verification. GHMC clarified its verification process and blocked the test application.
Legal & Institutional Activism
Filed a writ petition seeking regular GHMC council meetings in accordance with the GHMC Act. Continued participating in all-party discussions and protests on civic governance, funding, sanitation, and drainage.
